Located in the South West Quarter of the North East Quarter of Section 11 in Truro Township, Knox County, Illinois

Will of John Cadwell dated February 18, 1880. Knox County Court House Volume 112 page 153, #99276:

"I do hereby reserve a spot known as the Family Burial Place not to exceed one-half acre, the amount discretionary with the Executor.  The same lot is to be fenced in a good and substantial manner and otherwise kept in good repair during the Executors term of Office."

Note: His body was removed to the Williamsfield Cemetery in 1911 or 1912.

John Cadwell's youngest daughter Melinda C. married a John Nehemiah Gale and some of this family is also buried here.  [Transcriber's Note: The DAR. does not give the members of the Gale family buried here.]
