Uniontown Cemetery is located in the southeast corner of Section 19 in Salem
Township

This Indenture Witnesseth that on the Thirteenth day of February Eighteen
Hundred and Sixty five, Sampson Shinn and Edith his wife of the County of Knox
and State of Illinois hereby relinquishes all their right title interest and
estate in and to the following described piece of land unto N. Z. Potter, Alvah
Hulbert ?, and Alexander Grim, all of the County and State aforesaid and to
their successors in office forever. They being Trustees to the above named
premises said premises to be for the use and benefit of the inhabitants in the
vicinity of Uniontown for the purpose of Burying Grounds forever and described
as follows to wit:
Beginning at the South East Corner of Section Nineteen in Salem Township Nine
North Range Four East in Knox County and State of Illinois. Running thence North
8.12 chs Thence S 59degW - 6.50 chs Thence S 49 1/2deg E - 7.33 chs to the place
of beginning containing Two and one fourth acres of Land.
The partys of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty Seven
dollars & fifty cents paid to them by N. Z. Potter, Alvah Hulbert ?, and
Alexander Grim have relinquished and forever quit claims to the above described
premises unto the partye of the second part for the uses and purposes therein
expressed, Reserving to themselves the right to join Fences at the North East
& South West corners of said premises and to their heirs and assignees
forever.
In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals, this Thirteenth day
of February Eighteen Hundred and Sixty five.
