I am looking for information on Joseph Rowe, b. 1790 in VA. Settled in Knox Co., IL around 1830. Joseph was married to Elizabeth (Betsy) Plymale/Plimel. Joseph is beleived to be the son of James Rowe of Giles Co., VA. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

LONG / HARVEY
I am seeking any information on WARE LONG, born ca 1811 in VA , his wife, ELIZABETH (HARVEY) LONG who he married in Knox County 11 Mar 1849, and their children. I have six children from the census records: George, Harriet J., William, James, Oranetta, and Clara. Information that I have is limited, but would be willing to share/exchange anything I have.

I am looking for information on the descendants of Thomas Sears & Mary Meily, married 4/14/1881 in Galesburg and Kellister Sears & Charles Fauble, married 5/7/1885 in Galesburg. 

BUTT
Looking for information about Thomas Didimus Butt, born 1801 in (West) Virginia. He arrived in Knox County about 1836 and died there. His son John Butt married Mary Butt, both born in Greenbrier Co, Va. Mary was the daughter of Thomas Butt who died in Greenbrier Co. Thomas Didimus and Mary's father were related but not sure how. Thomas Didimus was the son of Archibald Butt, just not sure which one as there were several 

McBRIDE
William T. McBride, b..1855, Nelson Co., Va., m..Mary E. (?), b..1864 married in Mo., 6 son's..William T., jr., Roy R., Joseph A., Charles A., Oden E., 2 daughter's..Paulina and Eliza.. Lived around Galesburg 1910, 1915. Any info would appreciate and share what I have. 

DICKENS
DICKENS--Looking for information on my gr gr grandfather, Thomas Ewin DICKENS, and his twin brother, William C. DICKENS. They were born in 1836 in Rapatee, Knox Co. IL. Any information on the DICKENS surname in this area during the 1800's would be greatly appreciated. Will gladly share info. 

ARMSTRONG / BROWN / CAIN
I am looking for info on JAMES ARMSTRONG. He narried SARAH BROWN 1870 They had 2 girls JAMES died 1876 "on the river". would like info on both parents. SARAH married JAMES CAIN moved to NB. Only one daughter went with them the other one stayed with a doctor and was raised by them don't have the doctors name or childs name. Any help will be appreciated, Tina Hasty. 

LUMBERRY / VANTINE
Looking for information on Augustus L. Lumberry, born 18 Sep 1844 in Illinois, and married Levina Lumberry (b. 10 Dec 1845 in Ohio) in abt. 1867. They had 13 children, Mary, Lucinda, Clara, Frances, William, Irenia Effie, Charles, Nellie, Earl, Pearl, John, and Walter. The Illinois Census, Knox County has them listed in 1910 with a son yet at home, Walter. Apparantly Augustus' parents were both from France. Augustus and Levina Lumberry are both buried in Yates City Cemetary in Knox County, along with a daughter, Nellie Rose LUMBERRY VANTINE. Any information would be helpful on Augustus or Levina. SKILLMAN / VANTINE / BOICE
I'm looking for any information on Martin Augustus VanTine, who was born 23 Apr 1839 in Plainfield, Somerset, New Jersy, and married Sarah Boice on 19 November 1859 in Piscataway New Jersey. They are both buried in Yates City Cemetary, and was the father of Wilmer VanTine, b 6 Mar 1882. Believe Martins parents were Peter VanTine and Eleanor Tenbrook SKILLMAN, both born and died in New Jersey. 

EKLUND
Searching for anyone with knowledge of Nils August (Carlsson) EKLUND, who emigrated to Galesburg in 1882 and lived with his brother, Peter Johan EKLUND. Nils was born 19 Jan 1861 at Gnutskulla, Fliseryd, Smoland, Sweden and was known to have lived in Galesburg at least until 1892-93, when we lose track of him. 

JOHNSON / JOHANSSON
Looking for anyone with knowledge of Svante JOHNSON/JOHANSSON, who emigrated to Galesburg in 1869, with his brother Carl Johan JOHNSON/JOHANSSON. Svante was born 30 Apr 1841 at Hoejden, Hoessna, Vaestergoetland, Sweden. We know nothing of his whereabouts after he emigrated. Did he settle in Galesburg?

Seek information on parents of David HARPER, b. 2 Aug 1813 Ohio, m. 28 Jan 1841 in Union County, OH to Sarah Jane PARK, d. 6 Mar 1889 in Chestnut Twp., Knox County. David's father may have been Jacob HARPER, b. 23 Aug 1785 in Pennsylvania, but is buried near David in Herman Cemetery, Chestnut Twp. His mother was Elizabeth - maiden name unknown, who probably died in Ohio. Known siblings were sister Mary who m. lst to Job WILLIAMS and 2nd to John MILLER; bro Richard Miller HARPER who m. Catherine Jane SHAW.

I am searching my family history. My grandfather was Francis H. SIMMS, b 24 Jan 1886 in Peoria, died 9 Nov 1930, Peoria. Francis SIMMS married Anna Isabelle METZGER on 3 Jan 1920. Anna Isabelle METZGER b 29 May 1898 in Peoria., died around 1968 in Portland, OR. I am very interested in finding information about Anna Isabelle METZGER in the 1930s. Charles married Sarah Alice RYNER, b 03 May 1861 Knox Co, Il, d 12 Oct 1944 Peoria, Il. gggrandfather Alonzo SIMMS, b ? Virginia, died 30 Mar 1871, Peoria, Alonzo SIMMS married Mary DENBY, b ? Virginia, d 15 Aug 1909, Peoria, Il. Sarah Alice RYNERs father was Henry RYNER. Anna Isabelle METZGERs father was Lewis Valentine METZGER, b 28 Jul 1871 Sidney, Ohio, died 26 Sep 1928, Peoria. Lewis Valentine METZGER married Jennie Dell Steen b: 26 Dec 1870 Monmouth, Il, d: 28 Oct 1919. Jennie Dell STEENs father was William H. STEEN, b 25 Nov 1843, Indiana, d 13 Jul 1918, Peoria. William H. STEEN married Lydia A. HOWSMAN, b?, Monmouth, Il., d: 23 May 1899, Peoria. William H. STEENs father was Samuel STEEN (need info), Samuel STEEN was married to Sallie RUSSEL (need info). I would appreciate contact with descendants of any of the above, or any information regarding them. Lewis V. Metzger was involved with the Pierre Marquette Hotel and/or Metzger Hotel just prior to the depression. Would like information regarding what happened to this family, and these hotels, during decade prior to the depression and decade following.

Dr. Essias Samuel COOPER (b. 21 Jan 1819 and d. 16 Nov 1895 Henderson, Knox Co Ill) m. Mary E. MARTIN (who d. 1881 Henderson, Knox Co, Ill). Dr. COOPER established a medical office in Galesburg, Ill, in 1879. Their children -- order not known -- were Dr. E. H.; Dr. E. S. Jr.; Dr. Charles; W. H.; Emma; and Carrie.

Looking for 1850-1860 information about Francis VOLK and Phebe BROWN > (daughter of Alexander B. BROWN and Jane RILEY) who were married in 1854 > Knox Co. Believed to have been living in Uniontown near Yates City. Anyone > knowing this family, please contact me.

VanDORN / BLAKSLLEE
I would like to find the relatives of Mary or Chester Van Dorn. They lived in Knox County, Il. in 1868. I have a letter that Mary wrote to her friend Rachael Blaksllee who lived in Farmington, Il. If I can locate any of their family, I would like for them to have this most interesting letter. . 

NELSON / PETERSON
Seeking any info on following: Nels NELSON, b. May 9, 1843, in Schleswig-Holstein, North Germany, when it was under Danish rule (thus he's often shown as born in Denmark). Nels immigrated 1865, naturalized 1870. Perhaps record of naturalization is in Knox Co. Nels is said to have met > Helen Sophia PETERSON/PETERSEN in Galesburg, Illinois, and to have married her c. 1870/71 at a place called Monmouth (?). Nels was a blacksmith working in Galesburg (so says the story) when a man from Wichita, KS, attending a jewelers convention in IL convinced Nels to relocate. Nels & Helen's chilren's names: Arnan/Peter Arnold, Augusta, Anna, Margarette, Frank, John, Ida Matilda, Emma, Osie. ANY connection or info welcome.

MAXWELL
Looking for info on Harriet Delilah Maxwell, b 14 Apr 1851 in "Old Henderson", Knox, IL. She married William FERMAN 21 Feb 1869 in Cambridge, Henry, IL. Her parents possibly were James (b 1810 IN d 1895 Hampton, Rock Island, IL) and Elizabeth Laremore Maxwell (b 1811 KY). James was the father of 16 children, some of whom lived in MO. He was Baptist and a son named Richard, who lived in the same town as Harriet Ferman (Hampton, IL). Harriet died 8 Jul 1931 in East Moline, Rock Island, IL 

OLOMON
Looking for descandants and relatives of Roan Franklin Olomon. He was born 25 Jun 1866 in Opdyke, Jefferson, IL to Peter PATRICK and Martha BAUGH Olomon. He married as his 2nd wife, Lenora COLE. She was born 20 Jan 1871 in Opdyke to Benjamin and Mariah Lucinda Handling Cole. R.F. and Lenora had the following children: Naomi Olomon Heck, Ida Mae Olomon BIRKHEAD, Lloyd (died young), Ezra Ellis Olomon, Ruth (died young), Hardie Keith Olomon, Minnie Ethel Olomon Peterson, Arthur Olando Olomon, Charles Belmont Olomon, and Velma Pearl Olomon HOLSINGER. Roan and Lenora came to Knox county around 1920. He died at their farm in rural Knoxville in 1926. Lenora died in 1963.

I am searching for family of Thomas COLLINS, b. Ireland. Mar. Martha Rae ??? and had children: Mary "Polly", b. 22 April 1836, Knox Co. IL, Rice, William Duncan, Anthony & Carolina. Mary "Polly" mar. Henry J. BOMAR, 12 Sept 1861, Knox Co., IL. Henry J. was son of Henry C, grandson of Wilson BOMAR. Any info appreciated. 

WALKER / KLOCK
I am looking for any help available on information about my WALKER family. I have Lewis Earl WALKER b.26 Nov,1863 in Galesberg, Knox, IL. His parents were Perry WALKER ( I have NOTHING on him except he died in the Civil War ) and Nancy Jane KLOCK b.18 Sept,1843 in PA. After Nancy was widowed, she, her son Lewis, & her parents settled in OR. I am really hoping to find some clues to help with the identity and family of the father, Perry. I appreciate all contacts and ideas!! I have never been able to do much on this line as my resources are limited. 

VULGAMORE / VOLGAMORE 
Seeking info on VULGAMORE/VOLGAMORE family. Served in the Civil War, 67 Regiment, Co. F IL Infantry Volunteers. After the war he resided in Knox Co., IL until 1877 when he moved to Clark Co. IL until 1880 then he moved to Furnas Co., NE. He married Drucilla FITZGERALD in Maquon, IL, December 24, 1863. Any information on this family would be appreciated. 

O'DONNELL / WALLIN(WALLEN) / RAKESTRAW
I am looking for marriage information on Michael O'DONNELL and his wife Harriett WALLIN/WALLEN. They lived in Knox County in Elba Township through four censuses (1850-1880). When and where were they married? What are their birth dates? Harriett was the daughter of William WALLIN and Mary RAKESTRAW. She was born in Ohio. Michael was born in Ireland. They are both buried in Peoria. Their children were: Mary Elizabeth, Joseph, Louisa, Catherine and Martha.

Looking for information about Isaac Paden and Celia Fish Paden who wer married March 17, 1825 in Columbiana Co., OH. They moved to Crawford Co., PA & lived there for several years. They moved to Galesburg, IL - KNOX CO. - in 1842. They then moved to Ramsey (St. Paul) or Washington Co. (Stillwater), MN in 1851. They had 12 children. HORTON / TALCOTT
Looking for information on Baker and Katherine Horton. Children are: Samuel, John, George, Benjamin, Jesse, Maria and Joseph. Newspaper obits show Baker, Katherine, George and his wife, Delia(Talcott) buried in Hope Cemetery but cemetery book only shows Delia, called Della in book. Jesse was first engineer killed on Q railroad out of Galesburg. Maria died in Galesburg, date and place of burial UNK. Joesph died in Los Angeles in 1899. As far as is known, these Horton's came from PA, around Great Valley, PA where Baker and Kathrine were married. Obit for Geroges widow states that she was buried in family plot at Hope Cemetery Cemetery. George died in Galva.

I am seeking information on John F WOOD and his wife Sarah M. ???? Their residence is stated as Galesburg Knox County IL in 1869. It appears that they also owned property in Fremont County IO during this time period; they purchased this property from a James MILLIKEN and his wife Anna B. in 1865 of Macon County IL. FINNEY / VanFOSSEN / MIDDLETON / CROZIER
I am researching Thomas Taylor FINNEY born 6-18-1822 in Tuscarawas Co. OH and Rachel VanFOSSEN born 8-17-1825 in Tuscarawas Co. OH. They were married 10-7-1847 in Newcomerstown, Tuscarawas Co. OH. They lived in Knox Co. Ill by the year 1858 as one of their children - Mary Catherine Finney Howard was born there in that year. My great-grandmother Martha Alice Finney Middleton was also born there on Jan. 1, 1860. Thomas and Rachel's last child was Celia Finney Crozier born 1870 in Knox Co. , Ill. I know that the family had moved to Nebraska by 1887. Thomas fought in the Civil War for Illinois 83rd Regiment Infantry.

I am interested in any and all information relating to Martin DOTY and Aurilla EVANS who married 17 Nov 1845 in Knoxville, Knox Co. Il. Martin is the older brother of "Captain" Edward DOTY of the Jayhawkers. I know what became of Martin and Aurilla - they moved to California and became my g-g-grandparents. I am seeking information about Ella M. Goldsborough, born 28 January 1861, in Peoria. She married John Wesley Rork, who was born 21 Mar 1861, in Morton, IL. John Wesley's parents were Daniel K. I am looking for William H Kennedy, William Perry Kennedy, my grandfather, or their brothers or sisters. William Perry was born in Plymouth in1868. He and Rose his wife are buried near their in a cemetary called Scott. I'm having a hard time finding anything about W.H. Kennedy. I need to know where he died in1919. William Duncan REID(REED)b.28 June, 1835 in Holytown, Scotland ; d.6 April, 1915 in Old Henderson, Knox cty. Illinois.  Married Jennifer(Jane) LAMB c.1870 in Maryland.  She was born
11 March, 1838.  Would like to know her birthplace.  She d. 7 Jan. 1882 in Henderson, according to Galesburg Republican Register-Henderson News. Their burial plots and stones are in the 'Henderson Cemetery', East gate entrance, along w/2 babies.  More info,  or where to find info, on Jane would be appreciated.  He was the senior member of the mining firm of REED and PENDERGAST, in Soperville

Bartlett Boydstun, b. 1797 Ky. md Isabelle Dawdy & resided in Indian Point twp 1850. Isabelle Boydstun buried in Boydstun-Dawdy Cemetery 1868.Where is Bartlett buried ? and when did he
die ? Believed to have been in Erath Co Tx. 1880  with daughter Phebe Jane Tucker. Would like to hear from decendants of Bartlett Boydstun, Children md. Edmundson,Killiam Dawdy, Brinkley, Tucker, Jones, Irwin. Some stayed in Knos Co.Ill. Bartlett Boydstun.

Need information on Elias Gibbs family who lived in Knox County from 1834 to 1853. He was a farmer and a Methodist minister or missionary. Wife Needham. Children: George, Lewis, Elijah, William and Mana. Any information welcome. Family moved to Nebraska and then to Colorado.

I'm looking for any information on Daniel and Mary Honts Daniel was born in 1831 and Mary in 1807. They lived in St. Augustine, Ill and are both buried in the Hunt Cemetery there. Daniel served in the Civil War

WHITLEY / WADE
I am trying to obtain any information that is available about Maria(h) WOOD WHITLEY (b.abt 1801 Upper/Eastern Canada) who married Hiram WADE or WADER (b.1793) on 9 March 1843 in Hancock County. In 1850 they were living in Henderson TWP, Knox County along with Charles, Edwin, Joseph and Phineas WHITLEY and Harvey and Lorenzo WADE. I have also come across an H. WADE who served as county clerk of Jasper County and Sheriff for Lawrence County-however I do not know if this is my Hiram WADE. Any information on any of these names would be most appreciated!!!
